Janik & Alfred | 7/7/07

After much anticipation, Janik and Alfred were married on probably the most popular wedding date ever this past Saturday at the Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano.

The weather was absolutely perfect (which will totally annoy my friends in Arizona who have been sweltering) and the couple, their friends and family members were in great spirits.

Congratulations to you both and have a great Hawaii honeymoon!

Can you explain the shoe picture? Was someone wearing a kilt and doing a tango? I see money on the man's britches...

Ruth...it's the money dance, which is a traditional dance for many cultures.

That's Alfred, the groom and some of his friend's hiked up his suit pants during the dance as they pinned money on him...the woman dancing with him is a friend of the couple and she paid a fee to dance with him.

All good fun and I just thought it made for an interesting juxtaposition.

Thanks for the fill-in.

Have you put together a collection of all your shoe photos? I find it all so artistic and fun.

I do like the b & w of the bride full face. It shows the intricate beadwork on the bodice and her lovely necklace. You do seem to capture everything, Paul.
